Official information: Andorra is located in the Pyrenees between Spain and France. It is a democratic state with a parliamentary monarchy. Because Andorra has no direct access to the sea, it is considered a landlocked country. Andorra is a tax haven, so many day visitors come for cheap alcohol and tobacco products. With an average elevation of 1,996 meters, Andorra ranks 6th. The lowest point is 840 meters and the highest is 2,946 meters. |

Personal information: Back then, driving to Barcelona in my Audi Cabriolet, I headed for Andorra, less for shopping, but rather to finally visit the country. The uphill road, with its many curves on a two-lane road, is a lot of fun. The town is quite small and, as expected, there are many shops selling tax-free products. Unfortunately, most of my pictures were lost, as my camera was stolen in Barcelona shortly after my visit... |
