Personal information: In 2009, my job took me to Brussels, Belgium, for the first time. After working with a client, I explored Brussels as best I could in the evenings. I saw the famous Atomium, took lots of photos in the large square, bought delicious Belgian chocolates, and even took a photo of Manneken Pis. The latter is one of the city's landmarks, but it's really very small; no wonder the original statues have been stolen several times. After that, I drove past Belgium several times (or got stuck in traffic) when coming from the Netherlands, but I didn't have time to visit again until I had another short client meeting in 2019, where the focus was on the old town and delicious food. A planned short vacation at the Marriott ended in disaster, but to make up for it, we received an invitation to the Marriott. We redeemed it in 2022 and explored Brussels in a relaxed manner. During our stay, we also visited Bruges. This is a great city and if you haven't seen the film "In Bruges?" you should catch up as soon as possible! |
