The Federal Republic of India is made up of 28 states and eight federal territories, which often have their own laws and regulations. Personal information: I have a special connection to India; it feels a bit like my second home! But let me start at the beginning: From December 2011 to January 2012, I spent five weeks in India, visiting Rajasthan, the Taj Mahal, Amber, Jaipur, Pushkar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Kerala, Goa, and Mumbai. Incredible impressions, but I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information in just five weeks. I probably wouldn't have gone back for a while, but in 2015, work took me to Namur, Mumbai. First for three months, then six months, then a year, and in the end, it was almost two years, during which I made several friends and acquaintances. On weekends, I first explored Mumbai, then the places reachable by car, then those accessible by plane, and finally, I deepened my impressions of Mumbai. Even after my work assignment ended, I've been back to India a few more times—and if possible, I'd like to repeat that soon! |
