  Personal information:
I feel like I've visited every region of Italy, but let's take a look: Tuscany several times, of course; Sardinia with Capo d'Orso and other sights; South Tyrol, of course, countless times; Veneto with Venice; Friuli for its delicious wines; Sicily once; but the rest of the south with Calabria, Apulia (living in trulli), and Campania (the Greek Doric temples in Paestum are stunning) several times; Trentino in the mountains and on Lake Garda; and also Basilicata with a small strip of the Mediterranean and the fantastic hilltop town of Matera. I haven't listed the north, but I've been (almost) everywhere there too: Parma, Milan, etc.

Listing all of my experiences in detail here would be rather boring, but visiting Stromboli and hiking the craters of Mount Etna were also top experiences. Mafia visits during dinner somewhat diminish the experience, but don't worry, the positives far outweigh the negatives...

So, if you love delicious food, great wines, scenic highlights, and the sea that's almost everywhere, this is the place for you!
