Personal information: During our Baltic vacation, we entered Lithuania for the first time, crossing from Poland through a small border crossing, but only transiting towards Latvia. The map shows how small the umbilical cord to the west is. Later, we headed to the capital, Vilnius, a small and charming city on the Neris River. Another destination was the nearby town of Trakai, with its famous Trakai Castle. We took a (cheap) boat tour there. It's difficult to get to know a country in two or three days, but what we saw left a positive impression on us. |
