Official information: The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a democratic state with a constitutional monarchy. It is located in western Central Europe. The country originated quite early as a county within the Holy Roman Empire. German troops occupied the country during both World War I and World War II. Afterward, Luxembourg played a leading role in European unification: it co-founded NATO and was a member of the UN and the European Union. With an average elevation of 325 meters, Luxembourg ranks 109th. The lowest point is 133 meters, and the highest is 559 meters. |

Personal information: During a short vacation, I visited the beautiful city of Luxembourg. The city is so appealing that I subsequently stopped there several times during business trips to the Netherlands. Even if I didn't make it to the stop, I at least filled up with gas, which was always cheaper there. Even though I don't currently have any plans to visit, I would stop there again anytime! |
