  Personal information:
Didn't the James Bond film Casino Royale with Daniel Craig put the idea of Montenegro in my head? Yes, the film scenes weren't even filmed in Montenegro, but the idea stuck with me, so I included Montenegro in my 2018 Balkan trip – and I wasn't disappointed.

The climate thrilled me; surrounded by various mountain ranges, I had sunshine and pleasant temperatures in the winter. I visited the capital, Podgorica (the name always comes up), with Niagara Falls, Roman stone ruins, great bars and restaurants...

On the way to the bar... No, on the way to the town of Bar, I passed the fantastic Lake Skadar, visited the (possibly) oldest olive tree in the world, and enjoyed the great weather and seafood in a restaurant.

I would definitely love to visit Montenegro again; I really liked it there...
